The aim of our Information Management & Technology (IM&T) department is to `cost effectively assist Stockport NHS Foundation Trust in achieving its overall goals and objectives` and in terms of modernisation and business development, the department is `the cornerstone of continued service improvement`.
About our service
The Information Management & Technology (IM&T) department comprises of four main functions:
Our main aims and objectives are:
- to support the service change, identify opportunities, commissioning challenges and the forward look agenda
- to provide a robust, reliable technical infrastructure and good standard of support across and increasing system and user base
- to ensure a “safe & secure” environment for our data and meet exponential demands around demonstrating assurance
- to simplify and further streamline the work for clinicians who are now using IT / systems as a routine part of delivering care to patients
- to review the opportunities for greater integration of services supporting the newly acquired Stockport Community services and Tameside & Glossop Community services.
