The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has announced that John Graham, Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Chief Executive for Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, has been elected as its 92nd president.
He will also serve as the 10th co-chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, the global alliance formed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and CIMA.
John Graham said; “It is an honour to serve as 92nd president of CIMA and 10th co-chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, leading a global organisation that fosters trust, enables opportunity, and advances prosperity for people, businesses, communities, and economies worldwide.”
Graham has dedicated much of his career to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), working across various NHS organisations, including the Department of Health. For the past 16 years, he has served as chief finance officer and director of finance.
He currently holds the position of chief finance officer for both Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
In addition, he serves as deputy chief executive at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
Notably, he is the first CIMA president to hold a full-time executive role within the NHS during his term.
During his presidency, Graham will work alongside Association Chair Lexy Kessler and Association CEO Mark Koziel.
