Strategic Planning
Our strategic planning framework covers the period 2013 - 2016. It aims to support everyone to look after their own health by preventing illness and promoting healthier lifestyles, targeting in particular those in greatest need. You can view a summary of our five year strategic plan here.
Our aim is to provide shorter and smoother patient journeys, particularly for people who use health services frequently. Over half of the people accessing community services in Stockport also receive hospital services. We therefore want to ensure people get the right care, in the right place, at the right time. This means fewer hospital admissions, with more care provided closer to home. We are continually developing our community services so that Stepping Hill Hospital becomes focused on services for people who are acutely unwell.

our values. it is centre around quality, partnership working, integration and efficiency, helping people live a longer and healthier life and delivering care when and where you need it and in a way that you our patients expect.
Our priorities
Our priorities re-affirm our commitment to delivering our vision while acknowledging a changing NHS context in delivering it. It is intended to be a clear description of the way in which Stockport NHS Foundation Trust operates to add value to our organisation and oversee the delivery of our clinical vision.
