Parking Information
Information for visitors travelling by car
Please note that car parking on our site is limited. We therefore advise you to come by public transport or make other arrangements where possible. We want your journey to Stepping Hill Hospital to be as easy and convenient as possible. Please use the following information to plan your journey.
Car Parking
You can park in the various car parking spaces around the site, however there are a limited number of spaces available. All car parking spaces are pay and display. You must pay for and display a valid car parking ticket when leaving your car (see Car Parking Fees below). Please see the Stepping Hill Hospital site map for the car parking zone information. Payment can be by either cash or bank card.
The trust has the following categories of car parks and parking areas, which are clearly signed:
- General patient and visitor
- Staff only
- Designated disabled parking areas
- Mixed use
Disabled people and patients attending regular appointments for ongoing cancer treatment are able to park for free in line with our car parking policy, and concessions are available to regular visitors, such as pregnant women and family members of long-term patients. Please telephone our travel department in the first instance on 0161 419 5032.
We employ security staff who regularly patrol the site to ensure people park in the appropriate parking areas. Parking notices are issued by our external car park management company if there is not a valid parking ticket or permit. Vehicles without a valid ticket or permit may also be clamped.
For details of community clinics in Stockport and the High Peak please contact the individual clinic.
Our car parking policy sets out the basic principles which should apply to car parking at all Stockport NHS Foundation Trust properties for patients, visitors and staff. Please note that blue badge holders should read our car parking policy as there are locations where parking or waiting for blue badge holders is not allowed. These include temporary no parking, double yellow lines and no waiting areas that may be identified using cones or temporary barriers.
