Information for visitors travelling by public transport
We want your journey to Stepping Hill Hospital to be as easy and convenient as possible. Please use the following information to plan your journey.
Bus or Train
There is a frequent bus service which brings you into the hospital grounds from all surrounding areas. There are also reliable local train services available. The closest stations are Woodsmoor (8 minutes walk), Hazel Grove (17 minutes walk) and Stockport (45 minutes walk). For details of community clinics in Stockport please contact the individual clinic.

Park and Ride
A park and ride is located in Hazel Grove, Macclesfield Road (end of the 192 stop) with spaces for cars and bikes.
Linking Stockport and Manchester city centre, the route will stop at Stepping Hill, Heaviley, Stockport, Heaton Chapel, Levenshulme, Longsight and Ardwick.

Taxis
Public telephones and a taxi free phone are available at the main entrance and in outpatients departments A and B. Please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff if help is required.

How to find us: Find the travel office off the main hospital corridor in the Rowan Suite, (near the main hospital entrance).
Transport leaflet racks are located near the entrance to each outpatient department and Oak House, the hospital`s main entrance.
