Hospital Visiting Times
Stepping Hill Hospital standard visiting times are: 11am - 8pm.
Please speak to the senior sister or nurse in charge if you need to visit outside these times.
Please note you may be asked to leave during protected meal times, or to allow domestic staff to complete their duties.
Visitors are limited to two at any one time per patient.
However, there are a number of units where the visiting times may differ because of the specific needs of patients in that ward. The wards that have different waiting times are listed below:
A5 SSSU
Closed at weekends.
AMU
2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm
CCU - Coronary Care Unit
3pm - 8pm. Please note, visitors are not permitted during our patient rest period between 1pm - 3pm.
Relatives of acutely ill patients: open visiting.
HDU - High Dependancy Unit
2pm - 7pm.
ICU - Intensive Care Unit
2pm - 7pm.
Maternity - Delivery Suite
Partners - Open Visiting
Women being induced - up to two birth partners
Antenatal and Postnatal women - 2pm - 3.30pm and 7pm - 8pm
M2 Women`s Unit
Partners and siblings: 9am - 9pm,
Friends and family: 2pm - 3.30pm and 7pm - 8pm.
Neonatal Unit - Women`s Unit
Parents and carers: Open visiting.
Other visitors: 5pm - 7pm. Other visitors need to be accompanied by a parent for security reasons. Only siblings can visit under the age of 16 for infection control reasons. The number of visitors is limited to protect the babies from excess noise and infection.
Children - Tree House Unit
9am - 8pm. Please avoid mealtimes around 12pm and 5pm.
No older children during term time.
Devonshire Centre
2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm.
Medical Short Stay Units (Male and Female)
3pm - 4pm and 7pm - 8pm.
Ward A3
1.30pm - 8.30pm (protected mealtimes 5.30pm - 6.30pm)
