Research colleagues from Stockport and Tameside have appeared on a popular Greater Manchester podcast to help raise awareness of research.
They were guests on `Tameside Talks` which is produced by the team at Tameside Radio and the Tameside Correspondent newspaper.
They visited the studio in Ashton under Lyne to speak with presenter Mark Andrews about the work they do at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Glossop Integrated Care Foundation Trust.
The two neighbouring trusts, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, and Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, share a joint research and innovation strategy.
Mark`s guests on the episode were Wie Woodyatt, Research and Innovation Manager at Stockport, Sara Bennett, Lead Clinical Research Nurse at Stockport, and Heather Savill, Lead Research Nurse at Tameside.
They spoke in depth about some of the research participation opportunities available at the trusts, how people can get involved, and what taking part entails. They also helped dispel some of the common misconceptions about research and described some of their personal highlights from their careers in R&I.
