Flu and RSV are currently spreading around Stockport and the rest of Greater Manchester. Flu and RSV can be a very dangerous for people in vulnerable groups, and also put great pressure on our services.
If you’re experiencing possible flu or RSV symptoms, please stay home whenever you can.
We are currently following national guidance, and mask wearing is not compulsory on the hospital site. However, those who wish to wear a mask are free to do so.
For all visitors, please remember basic hygiene and infection prevention measures: please cover your nose and mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing, dispose of tissues in clinical waste or a bin and wash hands regularly with soap and water, as well as using the infection control handwash outside our wards.
If you`re eligible for the free flu vaccine and haven`t had it already, please get it as soon as you can. There`s more information on how to get it on the Healthy Stockport page here.
