Flu is currently spreading around Stockport and the rest of Greater Manchester. Flu can be a very dangerous for people in vulnerable groups, and also puts great pressure on our services.
If you’re experiencing possible flu symptoms, please stay home whenever you can. If you have to visit the hospital with symptoms, please consider wearing a mask.
For all visitors, please remember basic hygiene and infection prevention measures: please cover your nose and mouth with tissue when coughing or sneezing, dispose of tissues in clinical waste or a bin and wash hands regularly with soap and water, as well as using the infection control handwash outside our wards.
If you`re eligible for the free flu vaccine and haven`t had it already, please get it as soon as you can. There`s more information on how to get it on the Healthy Stockport page here.
