Staff at Stepping Hill Hospital now have a new communal garden area in which to recharge and relax thanks to Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward.
With the help of Manchester-based furniture company Desser & Co and Swinton Insurance who donated furniture and funded the project, interior designer Dawn helped develop a previously under-used outside area near the hospital’s emergency department (A&E) and turned it into a much more calming and relaxing place. With its top quality furniture, the garden is open to all hospital and community staff to take time out. Other respite areas in the hospital and community have also been created recently with the generous support of a number of seperate donors.
Dawn was keen to support staff on the Coranavirus front line. She said “ I wanted to do something for the NHS because they have been incredible. They are doing their jobs but they’re also risking their lives. It’s important that they get a proper rest on their break.”
