Many years of care and dedication were honoured as Stockport NHS Foundation Trust celebrated its latest Long Service Awards.
The ceremony, which took place at the Stockport County FC ground at Edgeley Park, rewarded staff members working in both hospital and community services in Stockport, who have served a total of either 20, 30 or 40 years with the NHS.
With 71 attendees, the room had over 1,750 years of service within the room.
Each received a certificate and gift vouchers from Chief Executive Karen James OBE, Chair David Wakefield and Deput Chief Executive Johan Graham who thanked them all for their years of hard work and commitment.
Karen James said; “Today has been about acknowledging your loyalty, commitment, and dedication to our wonderful NHS over all these years. . I have really enjoyed listening to the citations that your managers submitted to capture your stories and journeys in our health service, and truly appreciate all your hard work and dedication.”
Another ceremony for other colleagues will be held later in the year.
