Our facilities department deliver high quality and cost effective services, develop and maintain a 'fit for purpose' environment and identify and reduce risks to patients, visitors and staff.
The department is made up of the following areas and provides non-clinical support to the Trust:

- Catering
- Cleaning
- Energy management
- Linen services
- Medical engineering
- Non-emergency transport
- Portering
- Postal services
- Reception
- Security and car parking
- Waste
The facilities department employs a total of approximately 450 staff, ranging from unskilled to professionally qualified personnel all of whom play a part in delivering these services. The team delivers high quality services, to develop quality into the built environment and to maintain all elements of the buildings, services and equipment, to assist the Clinical Divisions to establish the Trust as the health care provider of choice.
