Our Expertise

We were assessed as compliant with the Care Quality Commission standard for Medicines Management which means that we have good systems in place for managing medicines on the wards.

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are available in the dispensary and on the wards to provide expert advise on how you should take your medicines.

How to Use the Service

If you are admitted into hospital, please bring your medicines with you. This means that we can check what you are taking and make sure we supply the right medicine and quantity when you are discharged home. If during your hospital stay you need help or advise about your medicines please ask the ward staff to contact a member of the pharmacy staff who will come and speak to you.

If you visit the hospital as an out-patient you may be given a hospital prescription. You should present this to the hospital pharmacy and your medicine will be supplied to you.
