Welcome to Respiratory Medicine, we offer both in-patient and outpatient services for the people of Stockport and surrounding areas.

The respiratory medicine department , provides a range of respiratory medicine services to local Primary Care Trust, NHS Stockport, population and beyond, including the High Peak, Tameside and Glossop as well as some from South Manchester. There are 26 dedicated respiratory medicine beds on the respiratory ward.

Outpatient services are focused at chest clinic, a stand-alone building on the Stepping Hill site, with lung function facilities co-located.

We provide an alternative to hospital admission whilst supporting early discharge for patients.

All COPD patients are screened to determine suitability for home care including education and medications, inhaler technique.
