Background/Profile

Mr Nafez Breik MD, FRCOphth is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust with a specialist interest in Medical Retina. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinal disease and retinal vascular disorders.

His clinical practice also includes cataract surgery, including complex cases, intravitreal injection treatments and YAG laser procedures. He is actively involved in developing ophthalmology services at Stockport, including Medical Retina pathways and virtual clinic services, with a focus on improving patient access, efficiency and continuity of care.

Alongside his clinical work, he contributes to service development, clinical governance, and the education and supervision of ophthalmology colleagues.
