Members of the public in Stockport and across Greater Manchester are being given the chance to say a public thank you to their health champions who have gone above and beyond in their care.
The Greater Manchester Health and Care Champions Awards are held to reward the whole health and care workforce across the region who have been working so hard during very challenging times.
In Stockport this could include anyone working in health and care in the community, or any of the many staff and volunteers working at Stepping Hill Hospital.
As well as regular favourites such as People’s Champion and Volunteer Champion, new categories have been introduced this year including our Lifetime Achievement Award and Employer/Workplace of the Year.
Nominations across the thirteen categories is now open and the deadline for making submissions is 10th March 2023.
The awards are organised by the NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care (NHS GM), with support from the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and have been running for four years.
For the last two years the awards have been held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they will be held for the first time since 2020 at a physical location TBC in July this year.
