Department: General Medicine
Specialisms: General and Acute Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Renal Medicine, with experience in the management of acute and chronic kidney disease.
Memberships: FRCP (2023), MRCP (UK), MBBCh, and Specialist Registration with the GMC. I am also an MRCP PACES Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians of London and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Background / Profile
I am a Consultant Physician in General and Acute Medicine with extensive clinical experience in the assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions. I have significant experience in Geriatric Medicine, including the management of older patients with complex medical needs, as well as experience in acute and rehabilitation settings.
I also have extensive experience in Renal Medicine, including the management of acute and chronic kidney disease and patients requiring renal replacement therapy. Alongside my clinical work, I have a strong interest in medical education and trainee development, with experience as a clinical and educational supervisor, MRCP PACES teaching faculty and examiner.
I have also been involved in multidisciplinary team working, clinical governance, patient safety, and the supervision and support of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
