Following a review of clinical need, best-practice guidance and sustainability, we are closing our hydrotherapy unit on 30th September 2026, and offering patients alternative evidence-based rehabilitation pathways.
We understand this may be disappointing for many patients and community members.
Our teams are here to support you and ensure your care continues safely and effectively.
What happens next?
- We will contact you if you have booked hydrotherapy sessions
- A clinician will review your individual needs
- You will be supported with alternative treatment options:
– Land-based physiotherapy
– Tailored exercise programmes
– Rehabilitation support or classes
Your care will continue
Closing the pool does not mean your treatment stops. Your clinician will work with you to agree a plan that is right for you.
Why is the pool closing?
This follows a review of clinical evidence, service use and sustainability to ensure patients receive safe, effective and evidence-based care.
