Human Resources ‘Highly Commended’ for improving efficiency at the British Data Awards

20 Jun 2022 - Press Release

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust’s Human Resources (HR) and their new IT workforce system have been highly commended for improving efficiency at a national awards ceremony.

The trust, which runs Stepping Hill Hospital and community NHS services Stockport, took the title of ‘highly commended’ at this year’s British Data Awards, against a range of organisations from across the country.

The trust received the award alongside other winners at a ceremony at the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, London, presented by the evening’s host, comedian Jen Brister.

The system has allowed information at the trust to be accessed in a more user-friendly way, allowing reports with key HR information to be shared with clinical teams quickly and more easily. With reduced reporting pressure on HR teams, more time freed up to focus on areas to improve, resulting in positive impacts both for the trust’s workforce, and its patients.

The team were competing against a variety of organisations from across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, with other winners including the London North Eastern Railway, Sainsburys, Octopus Energy and Sunlife.

Amanda Bromley, Director of People & Organisational Development  for Stockport NHS Foundation Trust said “We are delighted to have been highly commended at the British Data Awards against so many distinguished competitors. This new system have seen major improvements to our efficiency at the trust, and it’s great to have that recognised at a national level.”

Jason Johnson, Co-Founder of Predatech and British Data Awards judge said: “I’d like to extend my congratulations to all of our 2022 Winners. With 158 entries received this year, being named a Finalist let alone a Winner really is a great achievement. I hope that all the people and organisations taking part this year feel immensely proud to be recognised for their data success stories on a national stage.”
