The district nursing team in Cheadle and Gatley received a kind donation of thanks from a family.
The team cared for local husband and father Wayne Dolan at his home before he sadly died of lung cancer. His family wanted to show their gratitude for what they regarded as outstanding personalised care for Wayne in his final days.
A combination of donations as Wayne’s funeral and a Justgiving page added up to a total of over £1900, which was presented to the team at Gatley Health Centre by Wayne’s daughter Emma.
Margaret Malkin, Director of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust`s Integrated Care Business Group with runs the district nurses said “This a really touching gesture from Wayne’s family which everyone in the district nursing team truly appreciates. Their generous gift will help pay for additional equipment for the Cheadle and Gatley district nurses as they continue to care for patients in the future.”
