A new film from the Health Foundation shows how our surgical team has been helping patients as part of the ERAS + Greater Manchester project to ensure faster and better recovery for surgical patients.

ERAS + focuses on helping patients to prepare for and contribute towards the management of their own health care. It does this by addressing the physical and psychological stress associated particularly with cancer, but also helps to avoid chest complications which are common after surgery.

It features contributions from our ERAS + specialist nurse Emma Dale, surgical consultant Robert Loveridge, and Chris Arnfield, a cancer patient who has benefitted from the scheme.
