Children at Stepping Hill Hospital got a super-boost thanks to a visit from a superhero.
Captain Starlight, a friendly alien from the planet Starlight, visited the Tree House children’s unit to cheer up the poorly youngsters with fun and games.
The visit was organised by the hospital play specialist team and the Starlight Children’s Foundation, a national children’s charity that is dedicated to brightening the lives of children and teenagers suffering from illness. Captain Starlight is a new character from the charity and Stepping Hill is the first hospital in the UK to experience his brand of wacky charm.
Captain Starlight will be making repeat visits every three weeks over the coming months. The charity will also be bringing their pantomime to the children at Christmas time.
