Stockport’s Brownies and Girl Guides have lovingly made gifts to help Stepping Hill Hospital patients.
Local Guides and Brownies have been making ‘comfort bags’ which contain small size toiletry items for patients who come into hospital with very little, and are without the support of family or friends during their stay. Each bag includes a kind message of support from the Guide or Brownie who made it.
The Guides presented hundreds of bags to the hospital’s matron for patient experience Emma Rogers, to share across the hospital’s fifty wards.
Emma said, “We were so touched with the thoughtfulness, time and effort that the Brownies and Girl Guides have put in to making these wonderful gifts. We know they will be really appreciated by the patients who need them.”
