The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is completing a ‘system review’ across Stockport. This is looking at how hospitals, community health services, GP practices, care homes and homecare agencies work together to provide care for people aged 65+.
The CQC System Review is new and began last year, with 12 areas across the country having already had a review. It is completely different to the previous CQC inspections we have had.
This review include site visits, as well as some small focus groups with staff and patients. The CQC will then publish their key findings and recommendations, but there is no rating.
