Stockport Together listening event

Cheadle Village Hall
1 - 3 Brook Road, Cheadle, SK8 1PQ
24th July 2017 13:00 - 15:00

Share your views about plans for changes to health and social care in Stockport.

Health service and council leaders in Stockport are in the process of agreeing to spend significant sums of money on changing health and social care services in the borough.

The organisations involved come under the collective name of ‘Stockport Together’:  NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust (mental health services), Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, Viaduct Health (a federation representing all Stockport GPs) – and our Trust (Stepping Hill hospital and community health services).

There will be an eventual need to consider moving resources (beds, money and staff) from the hospital to the community and we need to ensure that this is the right thing to do for the people of Stockport. The partner organisations have been developing plans for some time with input from patients and carers, nurses, doctors, social workers and others. Some changes have already been made, however before firm decisions are made on other significant areas, please give your views.

Get involved

Come to a listening event to find out more and talk about the plans. Stockport Together are inviting ideas about how the plans could work in local areas and asking for help in identifying the impacts of any changes on local people.

An ‘issues document’ that describes what has driven these changes has been produced and can be viewed here.
